This was a convenient stay with very friendly, helpful staff. It’s nice to find a Christian hostel with vibrant hosts and cool traveler guests. The mixed dorm had multiple showers and toilets which was nice. There was a large rack for backpack storage and free towels & blankets to use; at one point, my bunk felt slightly damp and so did the thick blanket I grabbed, so that was strange—maybe because there was a window open or they air-dry laundry. Otherwise great.

The best Hostel experience I had in my life !
If you want to meet travellers and locals (working in the hostel) in a very cozy place, you found the right hostel.
The hosts are a group of volunteers always helpful and conscientious about your needs, they even organize board games and waffle nights multiple times a week.
Not far from the city center to go out in the day and evening.
The room with 20+ beds is impressive at first, but you'll get used to it. Make sure to have earplugs, but people are respectful during the night.
They offer bed sheets and towels for the stay.
Just small lockers but a big shelf for your bags. As there are always people in the hostel you can be reassured.
Plus it is the best price you can find.

Thank you all for the experience, if I come back in Bergen, I know where to stay !

The staff were lovely and the location is convenient, but unfortunately the conditions are not very good. The large open dorm was not a nice environment and had a bad smell. Noise travelled easily. The cleanliness of the toilets and showers was poor, I didn't feel clean when I stayed here.

Best hostel experience l've ever had. I've stayed in a few too ;)|Staff is incredibly welcoming and they work tirelessly to make sure travelers have what they need. I was there three nights and there were organized events at the hostel each of the three nights.|This is a true hostel experience. I couldn't have asked for a richer experience in Bergen.

Esta abierto solo en el verano, es el hostal más económico de BERGEN y esta a pocas calles del centro...

Me encanta éste lugarcito...debes llevar tu sleeping bag.

Really really friendly staff. We showed up at a weird hour (6 am) and they were still able to accommodate us.

They also have free Norwegian waffles Tuesdays and Thursdays. Breakfast is cheap, fresh, and delicious. There’s a piano and guitar to mess around with too. The one downside is the rooms: it’s a little old and run down, but I mean it’s clean and well maintained. Bathrooms are clean. For a building from the 1700s it has aged well.

And it’s like a 5 minute walk into old town. Absolutely would stay here again.

Amazing, the staff is super friendly and young, they come from the US so they speak english and have many stories to share since they come from the other side of the earth. I first thought 31 people in the same bed room would be terrible, but it turned out since the space is huge that you don't really hear a thing. I slept until 9 to 10 am somedays, without any sound waking me up. They make waffles for free twice a week, which is a good opportunity to meet the other travelers. A lot of solo travelers. The staff even went to hike with us on their free day. It was amazing, and according to my research you won't find any cheaper place to stay in Bergen.
