We booked through Crystal Ski. As a family of 1 adults and 3 children. We wanted a living area and a bedroom for the children separate to ours (unlike being all together in a hotel room)
This cabin was perfect.
Lovely and warm, also a log fire-buy logs from over the road at the very close supermarket.
The beds are lovely and comfortable, the duvets cozy and warm. But only 1 pillow each, more pillows would have been lovely!
Plenty of towels provided.
Underfloor heating in the porch is a brilliant idea, dries your boots and outerwear, also stops it becoming slippy.
Again underfloor heating in the shower room.
The location is so quiet, perfect for sleeping after a day on the slopes.
I would recommend anyone to stay here, it really is lovely.

Perfect little cabin for a family, the cabin is quite basic but comfortable and tidy and clean, and for the amount of time you spend in there it's sufficient for everything you need really. ||There is underfloor heating in bathroom and hallway which helps to dry wet ski clothes should you need to. ||A full sized fridge, a small dishwasher but no freezer. ||They provided towels and bedding and cleaning products, a couple of clothes and tea towels, and handful of dishwasher tablets, and a few toilet rolls, anything else you will need to purchase from the onsite shop. ||We are at the Radisson blu as we did a half board option, which meant we didn't have the Hassel of cooking every evening, but we would consider self catering next time as the cabins are sufficient enough to cook small meals in. ||There is a log fire in the cabin which we used a few times but didn't need to as heating was adequate, but we liked the atmosphere of the log fire and the cosy feeling it gave. ||Beds were reasonably comfortable, no problem sleeping after a full day skiing. Could have done with a few spare pillows as only one each, but that's the only small issue. ||I don't usually leave reviews, but the whole resort, the cabin, the ski lessons, the food at Radisson blu was all at a very good level and we had the most wonderful ski holiday over the Christmas period. ||I would highly recommend visiting bietostolen you will not be disappointed.

Warm, clean, cosy cabins close to the slopes (5 minute walk) - perfect base for a family of 4 with plenty of space outside to play in the snow and space inside to dry damp ski clothes. Co-Op opposite for supplies. Loved our cabin for the week in Beitostolen.

Receptie: Inchecken en uitchecken kan via een link op internet en vervolgens kun je de deur openen via een ‘schuifje‘ online. |Huisje: We hadden een huisje voor 6 personen geboekt. Echter zouden wij hier niet met z’n 6-en willen overnachten. 4 personen lijkt ons wel de max en er waren ook maar 5 eetkamerstoelen 😉 Het huisje heeft alles wat je nodig hebt, maar de badkamer is wel erg klein.|Wat informatie (handleidingen) over alle apparatuur was wel welkom geweest. Het was best koud weer de dagen dat wij er waren en onduidelijk hoe de verwarming nu werkte, d.w.z. het was duidelijk dat er elektrische panelen waren, maar we hadden het vermoeden dat er nog meer (vloer?)verwarming was, maar hoe dat dan werkte? Daarnaast kregen we op een gegeven moment een foutmelding van de vaatwasser, deze wilde niet starten. Bij toeval kwamen we erachter dat de extra knop die op de waterkraan zit (die we in Nederland niet kennen) in de juiste stand moet staan om water naar de vaatwasser te laten stromen. Je kunt ervoor kiezen zelf het huisje schoon te maken voor vertrek, waardoor je een aardige besparing op je kosten hebt.

Handig dat je online kunt in- en uitchecken.
We hadden een huisje voor 6 personen geboekt. Echter zouden wij hier niet met z’n 6-en willen overnachten. 4 personen lijkt ons wel de max en er waren ook maar 5 eetkamerstoelen 😉 Het huisje heeft alles wat je nodig hebt, maar de badkamer is wel erg klein.
Wat informatie (handleidingen) over alle apparatuur was wel welkom geweest, aangezien een aantal dingen anders zijn/werken dan in Nederland.

These cabins are very quaint and beautifully warm for those travelling in winter. The entrance hall has underfloor heating to dry your ski gear as does the bathroom which is essentially a wet room with shower. There is a wood burning stove if required but we didn’t need to use it. The beds are very comfortable. One room had twin beds put together & the other room had 2 bunk beds. Both rooms have heating. You have to make up your own beds on arrival (which was slightly annoying) and clean up and remove bedding at the end of your stay. The TV was good and we took our amazon fire stick which allowed us to watch some online content and log into Netflix to watch films. The kitchen was basic with small oven and 2 hob rings and a small dishwasher. We did eat in most nights and found the kitchen fine. The co-op supermarket is just across the road which is very convenient and the cabins is a 5 minute walk from slopes. All in all I would highly recommend hovi.

Resort is lovely with all amenities. Small but extremely family friendly and not overcrowded even in February half term. Great snow and easy access to the slopes. ||Hovi cabins were ok - manageable, but did not compliment our holiday. They are basic and compact and have a 'traditional cabin' element but we felt now very tired, needing some modernisation, a deep clean and replacement fabrics. We felt at a limit on space as a family of 3. ||Of concern was the water supply which was temperamental. A cold shower was disappointing after a day on the slopes at -5/10. To be fair this was only 3 out of 6 days. |The exposed loaded sockets & wiring was hazardous for little ones. |Limited UK channels on TV (1!)|The only kitchenette socket is secreted within the overhead cupboards with a light switch congealed with a mix of cooking/foods residue. This area had no extractor fan and immediately next to the bunk beds room which was not great for cooking smells. |More than 2 items in use caused repeat short circuits,i.e. Mini grill & 1 job plate on = not use kettle. Making already confined cooking difficult. ||Beds are not pre-made which is not a huge problem but would be nice. However, the pillows were quite frankly old and awful and should be replaced immediately. ||The location of the cabins is great with safe play area outside the front for kids. They are also well lit at night. |The insulation is great and they remain toasty warm. Front porch/storage area and bathroom has underfloor heating which is helpful. There is a fire. Local shop sells wood at approx £9/10 but we didn't feel the need to use it. |Staff at the nearby linked Bergo hotel are helpful & friendly. ||Free wifi works very well. |We will certainly return to Norway and hopefully the area, but not Hovi cabins.

We chose Norway as we are beginner skier's. The Hovi cabins were very nice, we were a bit disappointed that we had to purchase wood for the stove, in Finland it is provided. The resort is nice and the food at the hotel was good but my husband does not eat fish and I do not eat Red meat and we were not informed that we could choose alternatives. We had a horrendous delay, and Crystal in general were very poor, I would not recommend them. We are still awaiting compensation. Our ski instructor Casper was excellent.
