The purpose of our visit was to see the Northern lights. We normally live in tropical country so our main concern was to stay warm without compromising our chance of seeing the aurora. The luxurious tent accommodation has two heaters in the tent and very warm bedding, well insulated and well lighted. The dinning room is very cozy. Food is tasty and well provided for breakfast and they encourage you to make your own sandwich as they only provide two meals, dinner & breakfast. Cookies, fruit and hot water are to be taken freely throughout the day.||||We did not get to see the Aurora due to weather condition. However we were blown out of our mind by the sheer beauty of the surrounding of the camp site, the valley, the moon shine and the tranquility of the ambience. Dog sledging on-site into the valley is also fun and we have hiked over the snow the next day to our pleasure.||||Our host Maria is a lovely lady and she went out of the way to pamper us including helping us to suit up before we went our dog sledging.||||The owner actually picks us up in the city centre at the pick up point and drives us to the site which is way out of the city. It is best to take the shuttle instead of going by taxi. The round trip shuttle is included in the rate.||||Tony, the owner, went out of the way to help us to recover a lost suitcase with Norwegian air. He makes calls to the handler and even went to the airport to pick up the suitcase himself and delivered in person to where we are since we have been on a tight schedule. He went beyond his duty to help us and we are forever thankful for his kindness.

What a fantastic, unique experience! The camp is located in a beautiful valley. Although it was -20 C outside, we were warm and cozy in our windowed tent as we waited for the northern lights to make an appearance. Although it was completely clear, with no light pollution whatsoever and we were able to see every star in the sky the aurora proved elusive on the evening we were there. It was still a great experience. Joanna was such a lovely host. She made us some amazing reindeer stew for dinner as well as a delicious breakfast in the morning. She also picked us up at the airport and dropped us off in Tromsø the following day. The communal cabin was a comfy and cozy place to gather, offering free coffee, tea and cookies. The only complaint we had is that we felt that for the prices they were charging, they could have included a bottle of wine or a couple of beers. Beer/wine was available for a fee, but you had to ask the host each time you wanted a drink. It would have been more convenient if they had an "honor bar" system in place where the guests log what they have taken and settle up with the host in the morning. Alternatively, if you are able, you might want to bring your own adult beverages! Still an amazing experience and highly recommended!

Tents are sturdy. Heaters are awesome. Got three in each tent. ||Once inside the tent and zipped up, you would never believe that you are in the Arctic. ||Nice and cosy. Camp is situated in a valley. Great location to catch the Northern lights as light pollution is non existent. No running water. Aurora made an appearance while we were at the Camp.

The place is well placed, nice scenery and luxuriously furnished. But it is simply a tent, and when there are no Aurora on the sky, there's is nothing to do. We arrived in the afternoon and where booked for the dog sledding in the morning... so when we asked what we could do, the only suggestion was to fo to the cabin they have set up, where there is drinks to have with cookies... ||||And when we wanted to do something else, the suggestion by the owner was to walk along the dog's track, but only after that night's sledding was done; which would make it just before dinner time.||||I want to make a special mention about how great Joanna was! She picked us up at the pick up point in Tromsø's center, and drove us over there, and was very pleasent to talk to. She was always paying attention and asking what she could do for us; even took time to share a game with us and teach us how to play it.||||||in short, the experience must surely be amazing if it is a nice night when the Northern lights are shining in the sky. But if it is like it was for us, no Aurora at all, it is just an expensive overnight in a tent, with the meals included. Not more.

Great private tents, heated, and a wonderfull bed. The tents have plenty windows. In our case we could see the stars, after the snow, unfortunately Northern Lights were not available. The central cabin was cosy and well decorated, also with large window view on the snowy mountains.

Pros:|Staff - Tony (driver) and Maria (hostess) fantastic |Tent - well heated and comfortable bed|Setting - beautiful, albeit in the middle of nowhere!|Transfer to/from Tromsø - prompt and luxury minibus |Dog sledding - a great experience, but be prepared for a bumpy ride!|Northern lights - we saw them faintly ||Cons:|Price - expensive |Dinner - soup and dessert only |Drinks - extra |Toilets - unsatisfactory (2 basic portaloos with no flush)|Tent - noisy when windy ||I agree with previous reviews, they need to sort the toilets out (which I believe they are in the process of doing), and dinner could definitely be improved on. As tasty as the salmon soup was, we expected a better meal. Also, given the price, some drink should be included (wine with dinner, bottle of water in tent etc). ||Overall a good experience, but in our opinion, for the money (£600), probably not worth it.
