Beautiful hike to Blaisvanet! About 1.5–2h up with photo stops and 1h down. Mostly easy over stones, a bit steeper at the end. The turquoise water is stunning, perfect for dipping your feet. Quiet, peaceful, with breathtaking views and hardly any people around.

Hike up to a beautiful light blue glacier lake. The hike starts easy, with a clear marked path that is doable for almost everyone. But about 1/4 through, the trail turns into a literal stone landslide. Although the markers clearly show where to go, the uneven stones can be quite difficult to traverse, but the view at the end is worth it.

Blaisvatnet(het blauwe meer), erg mooi om heen te wandelen. De route zeg is de eerste km een makkie. Daarna krijg je veel kleine rotsen, deze ga je uiteindelijk wel in je voeten voelen. De hike is zelf erg makkelijk met het laatste stukje een kleine hike over grote rotspartijen. De route vanaf de parkeerplaats is totaal 9,5 km dus als je een klein meertje aan het eind zit moet je nog iets verder. Het meer bevind zich tegen de bergen aan, door het blauwe water valt het wel op als je er echt bent. Zie de foto’s. De route wordt aangegeven met rode keien, als je deze volgt is de route makkelijker.
Het is het parkeren wel super duur; 150 NOK voor 3 uur.

It was a hike up for 90 minutes at a normal pace.
The first 30 minutes are easy then it is a mountain road with stones and gravel.
Last 100 meters is harder depending on your physic of course but it is light climbing on big rocks to get to the lake so just take it slow and look where you put your feet's.

The lake is crystal blue and the temperature in the lake feels like "liquid nitrogen"🙂

Do I think it was worth it?
Yes it was a nice trip in the mountains and yes the lake was actually very magnificent to look at.

A beautiful treasure awaits after a challenging bolder path up and down. Remember to take your swimming shoes to experience the nice refreshing swim. I found the bridge on the path to the smaller ‘extra’ lake a great view. The road trip to the walk has some amazing Lygen ‘Alps’ views.

Parking here is not free, but it has 2 wc's and beginning of the hike to the lake is very well kept and nice.

Amaizing views and not too crowded. Would 100% recommend, this was on of the best hikes of our trip.

Oli kyllä ehdottomasti käymisen arvoinen paikka, jos vähänkään hienoista maisemista tykkää. Kävelyä kertyi kellon mukaan yhteensä hieman alle 10km. Maasto oli alussa hyvää polkua, mutta loppu hyvin kivikkoista. Reitti oli hyvin merkitty eikä eksymisen vaaraa ollut. Hieno paikka.

Beautiful! If you take your dog make sure to bring socks/shoes. My dog hurts its paws because of all the stones you walk on to get to the lake.
