Beautiful apartment situated in lovely area just minutes away from town centre and all attractions. This place is great for couples as well as families with children. The apartment is well equipped so cooking and feeding big family is not a problem at all.
Lastly we have to say big thanks to our hosts, who are amazing. Always happy to help, always with smile.

Spotlessly clean, well maintained apartments with windows overlooking a quiet street. Equipped with everything you need (washing machine, dishwasher, kitchen appliances etc etc) for a longer stay. Great staff too!

Fantastic place in the old part of town, 2 minutes walk from Bryggen and the tourist cites. Very central and still quite and authentic. Old, charming wooden building, very delicate interior, and small veranda facing a small park. Very friendly owners. This is highly recommend.

We stayed here for two nights in July 22. We celebrated our 30 years marraige anniversary while staying here. The location is excellent. We walked from Railway station. Bryggen and all other attractions are very close. Amenities in the house are very good. The hosts are very accommodating and helped us with all suggestions. We strongly recommend stay here.

As others have noted, this (and most places in Bergen) are a good jaunt from the train station, so be prepared for that. But the loft was very comfortable with a great shower. The kitchen was nice to save seom kroner making our own food. The house is creaky and you can hear the other patrons coming and going, but it is in a nice, quiet neighborhood.||||(as an FYI for anyone needing accommodations, there are a lot of stairs here).

We spent 3 nights at the To Sostre guest home when in Bergen, and loved our stay. We were in the Loft, which was the more expensive of the rooms, but did have its own ensuite bathroom, which we wanted. I believe the other rooms on the 2nd floor, shared a bathroom. The Loft is actually a room that can easily fit four, but there were only two of us – so we had lots of room. The Loft is on the third floor, and so if stairs are difficult, or if you have heavy suitcases, it may be a challenge. But the bed was very comfortable, as well as the bathroom was spacious and the shower had great water pressure. The room and bathroom were clean, and it was quiet. While it is an older home, it clearly had been renovated and had modern décor, which I enjoyed, and there were black-out window shades, which was nice, as it does not get fully dark outside during summer months.||||Breakfast is not included in the cost, but you could buy food and put it into the refrigerator on the first floor, to have in the morning. The first floor had a kitchen, table and lounge area that everyone shares, and you could buy take-away meals and eat it there. They do have plates and cutlery as well as a coffee maker, so there were many conveniences of a home.||||To Sostre is centrally located to many things, and we were able to walk everywhere. We also were able to get a bus from the airport without any issues, and it is a short walk to the guest home from where the bus leaves you. When we left, we could easily walk to the ferry terminal. To Sostre is located in an older part of the city, with cobblestone streets and narrow alleyways, which were fun. Again – we very much enjoyed our stay and the guest home is located in a lovely old section of Bergen.

This was our second stay at To Sostre and we were very pleased with our accommodations. Our room was lovely, immaculately clean, and very quiet. The kitchen was well equipped and allowed us to make our own breakfasts. The neighborhood is fascinating, with interesting wooden houses along narrow cobbled walkways. The locations is excellent, only a few minutes walk from the harbor and from the Floybanen.

Its is tricky to find in a cobblestone back street set high behind the waterfront and access to the bedrooms is up a steep and tiny wooden staircase, but once you have your bags hauled up this place is great. It feels like a private home and is very cosy. My partner and I were the only guests when we stayed and we found it a wonderful base to explore Bergen.
